An insult to Owen on national TV: Kraig Killborn of the Late Late Show insulted Owen Hart's death with what was supposed to be a joke. Killborn laughed as he said "While the Blue Blazer is dead, the white turtle neck is alive". All wrestling fans are upset and we believe you should e-mail the Late Late Show with your complaints.

Francine mentions Owen: "It saddens me to say that I never got a chance to meet Owen Hart. I have met Bret and Stu, but never Owen. I have always admired his work, for he was one of the greats in this sport. And I never heard a bad word about him from anybody. He will be missed both inside and outside of the ring. Rest in peace, Owen. God knows you're in a better place now."

The sadest day in wrestling history occured on May 23,1999 when Owen Hart fell 50 some odd feet to his death. Owen Hart using his Blue Blazer gimmick was planning on entering the ring with a superhero tactic. The plan was to elaborate on the Blue Blazer character by having Owen attached to a harness lowered down to the ring as if he was flying. WWF Pay-Per-View TV was showing a pre-recorded interview when The Blue Blazer began making his way half way down to the ring to follow a rule of television. (a rule of TV is not to have the same camera shot for too long or the audience gets bored, to avoid this Owen was lowered some way down) On his way down from the top of the arena with about 50 feet to go the Blue Blazer cape got caught on the release button. The button is made on the harness to enable Owen to disconnect himself from the cable once he reaches the ring safely. Unfortuneatly the Blue Blazer instantly fell a good 50 feet before snapping his neck by landing on a turn buckle. Owen probably died of shock from the 50 foot unexpected fall but was surely dead when he broke his neck. I believe Owen would have had a chance at living (maybe not walking but living) through the accident if he landed in the center of the ring. Paramedics rushed to Owen's aid immediately providing useless CPR as the whole world watching on PPV wondered what was happening. The WWF out of respect for the Hart family did not once go near the ring with a camera. Jim Ross reiterated himself many times saying how the fall was not staged as most wrestling stunts are. The show went on but Owen was on everyone's mind. After about 2-3 matches Jim Ross announced Owen Hart was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The reason for the delay was to let the Hart family know before the rest of the world of Owen's death. Many rumors are still circling about how the incident happened but either way Owen Hart is dead. He left behind 2 children, a wife, parents, brothers (Bret Hart), sisters, and friends. Although Owen's life is gone the memory will always remain in all our minds for eternity.
